(ALL RACES START AT NORTHSIDE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL)
In an effort to ease congestion and improve the flow of runners once you reach the single track trails, the race will feature wave starts because there are a lot of you!!
PACKET PICKUP
May 10 – Fleet Feet, 2311 J Street, Sacramento, CA. 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP
6:15am at Northside Elementary School, 860 Cave Valley Rd., Cool, CA.
WAVE STARTS
- 7:30 am – Long Course
- 8:15 am – Short Course
RACE RULES
- No leg or foot casts
- No strollers
- No dogs
- Please NO Headphones. No headphones will be permitted by runners/walkers participating at Dirty Secret. No exceptions.
Participants wearing headphones are less aware of their surroundings and may not be aware of (1) starting line announcements; (2) instructions on the course from race management and volunteers (3) warnings that participants have strayed off course; (4) friendly warnings from another participant that is approaching to pass; and (5) finish line/chute announcements; Basically, when you can’t hear what is going on around you, you lose one of your most valuable senses—at a time when you need all of your senses working. Even if a participant is cognizant or their surroundings and “wants” to be aware, the inability to hear clearly is a significant risk factor that cannot be ignored. Event personnel must be able to communicate with participants before, during and after the race
Course Information
This course is perfect for the first time trail runner while also still challenging enough for the trail vets. The long course is 10.3 miles and the short course is 5.8 miles. Courses and distances are subject to change.

Awards
Awards will be given to the overall male and female runners of the Long Course and Short Course races.
Any age group awards that haven’t been claimed can be picked up at Fleet Feet Sports (2311 J St., Sacramento)
LONG COURSE: Awards to the top three male and female finishers in each age division:
19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-over, and the top 3 non-binary participants.
SHORT COURSE: Awards to the top three male and female finishers in each age division:
19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-over, and the top 3 non-binary participants.
Cancellation Policy
Entry fees are non-refundable & entries are non-transferable. NO EXCEPTIONS. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate, you may not give or sell your number to anyone else, and you may not transfer your entry fee to future races.
